Rick Carlisle is a well-known American basketball coach who has been serving as the head coach for the Indiana Pacers since 2021. Rick Carlisle was born on October 27, 1959, in Ogdensburg, New York, and grew up in the rural community of Lisbon. He was recognized early on for his tall stature and strong athletic skills. In 2024, after a record of 47–35, he led the team to the Eastern Conference Finals and made them relevant again. In 2025, they won 50 games and advanced to the conference finals again. In November 2023, Carlisle won his 900th match and then signed a multi-year new deal, reinforcing his position as a top coach in the league.
